Gucci announced a collaboration with Chinese tech giant Tencent
Gucci announced a partnership with technology company Tencent. Tencent is one of the largest investment and venture capital companies in China. Its services include social networks, music and web portals, e-commerce, payment systems, mobile and online games, cloud databases.

Under the collaboration, the new partners will "create a structure that will drive innovation and leadership in digital strategies spanning the Internet of Things, artificial intelligence, data science, smart retail, content generation and digital thought leadership." Tencent's president, Martin Lau, said. 

"Through this partnership with the fashion house, we will co-create exceptional experiences for the Gucci community, bringing the brand's sensual fashion and contemporary aesthetic to Chinese consumers."

The first project that Tencent and Gucci made together was a series of short films called "Gucci Inspiration Map." Several international stars and Gucci ambassadors took part in the shoot, from Chinese actress and singer Chris Lee and actor Wu Lei to Lady Laura Burlington, Countess of Burlington. The video has already garnered 64 million views on the Tencent and Gucci platforms in China.
