Life, Travel, and Modeling: Insights from an International Model

You were born in Saint Petersburg, Russia, but spent a lot of time in Italy and now live in Paris. For a model, traveling is an integral part of the job. As a model, I discover new places while working, and it is often difficult to separate vacations from work trips. Castings and photoshoots in different cities allow me to visit museums, parks, and iconic locations, sometimes even more than the locals. Breaks are rare, except in summer, when I take the opportunity to see my family and friends in Saint-Tropez, Miami, or Ibiza.

Saint Petersburg is a beautiful city, rich in culture, theater, and ballet. As a model, visiting alternative and trendy spots in this city can also be a source of inspiration for photoshoots. Even though I prefer Ibiza or Berlin for electronic music, there are unique places in Saint Petersburg that are worth seeing.

Modeling has its advantages and disadvantages. Working with photographers from around the world, like Sara Mautone, is often magical: you can express your creativity and have fun on shoots. Working with other models on international campaigns, such as for Diesel, creates unforgettable memories. However, the fashion world can be harsh: some models are canceled without reason, despite flawless casting and fitting experiences. This is where model agencies play a key role in protecting and guiding their models.

Posing for brands like Dolce & Gabbana, Chanel, or Dior remains a dream for any model. Collaborating with talented photographers and renowned modeling agencies allows careers to rise and iconic images to be captured. Working in Paris offers a unique mix of city life and fashion, with every alley inspiring new ideas for modeling. Model agencies and models themselves find this city an ideal place to create and grow professionally.
