If you want to become a model at the age of 15, this is the right time. Typically, at this age, you are still in school, giving you 2-3 years to explore the modeling world and take on smaller jobs on weekends or during holidays. You have enough time to see if this is really the right path for you and if you can envision continuing to model after school. By around 17-18 years old, you will be ready to work as a professional model and already have a portfolio with great photos. Most of the top models worldwide started at the ages of 14-16. Do You Want to Become a Model at 15?
Start your model application!
At 15, you are still very young, but you are getting closer to the age where it's worth starting as a model. If you dream of becoming a model, always remember that it will also take a lot of time. Initially, it's about your start, gaining first experiences as a model, and getting the first photos for your portfolio. Your model portfolio should be as comprehensive as possible so that clients can visualize how you would look for their advertising or photoshoots. Here's a small example: A client is looking for a model who not only looks good but can also ride a bicycle. This may sound simple at first, but you need to take perfect poses in motion, and your facial expressions must be spot on, which is a big challenge that requires a lot of experience. Thinking further, it could be a couple's shoot for a contact lens manufacturer, where you have to harmonize perfectly with your model partner to make everything look authentic and genuine.

Your First Jobs: Showrooms, Online Shops, and Instagram
Once you have gained this, sometimes theatrical, experience, you are on your way. But at 15, you are slowly getting to the age where it's worth working as a model. If you want to start as a model at 15, you will probably have your first jobs in showrooms. In such a showroom, fashion designers present their new collections. The invited guests are buyers from major fashion chains or boutiques from both domestic and international markets.

In such showrooms, no photos or videos are produced; you are only booked as a model to present the clothing. The client can get a direct impression of the cuts, fabrics, and colors. They also assess the workmanship and how the clothing fits different body shapes.

Photoshoots for Online Shops, Instagram, and Advertisements
Often, you will also be booked for initial small photoshoots, like those for Instagram. In an Instagram photoshoot, the client books you directly to take 15 or 20 shots. Such photoshoots happen twice a month with different models. This way, the client can post a new photo every day, featuring a different model in each one, making the Instagram feed lively. These are usually the first assignments.

As you gain more experience, the assignments become much more demanding. From an online shop shoot with 30 different pieces to a commercial where everything ultimately depends on a perfect second when you smile. The big challenge here is that the entire set must be perfect. For instance, if two models are booked along with 50 extras in a large location, like a club, to promote a refreshment drink, then every moment must be perfect. Each actor must perform flawlessly because having a second shooting day is impossible for personnel and organizational reasons, and it would also be very expensive!
