Kaia Gerber: Modeling Tips, Inspiration & Style Advice

Kaia Gerber is not a supermodel yet, but she is clearly making progress in the modeling world. “When people call me a supermodel, I think, ‘Give me at least a little time!’ The word shouldn’t be used lightly and must be earned,” she explains. Early on, Kaia received valuable guidance from experienced models like Karlie Kloss, who inspired her career at a model agency. “My mother never gave me runway lessons, but Karlie Kloss always gave me the best advice,” she says.

Yet her greatest inspiration remains Cindy Crawford: “It’s pretty inspiring to have Cindy as a mother. She did a great job separating work and personal life, and I really admire that.” Kaia also follows a golden style rule: “Less is more. I like wearing jeans, sneakers, and accessorizing outfits with watches or sunglasses. If you feel good, you should wear it.”

As a child, Kaia already explored her mother’s closets, discovering jewelry and vintage pieces that she now incorporates into her modeling outfits. On Instagram, she also showcases her personality and creativity: “I can express myself, but I don’t let anyone tell me how to live my life. Social media is a tool for me to stay authentic.”

Kaia Gerber shows how young models learn to find inspiration, develop themselves, and cultivate their own style while simultaneously using advice from experienced model agencies and models to secure their place in the industry.
