Between Runway and Travel: Life of an International Model

Born in St. Petersburg, raised in Sicily, and now based in Paris, her life journey reflects just how international the world of modeling is. She began her career at an early age as a model in Milan, where she gained her first experiences with renowned model agencies. Travel is an inseparable part of her daily life—whether for jobs, castings, or shoots. As a successful model, she hardly distinguishes between work and vacation, as every city offers new inspiration. Even on free weekends, she uses her time to explore museums, parks, and cultural sites, while true breaks are rare. The summer months often remain the only opportunity to meet family and friends in places such as St. Tropez, Miami, or Ibiza.

St. Petersburg is, for her, one of the most beautiful cities in the world. Beyond the famous Hermitage Museum, the city’s cultural life—especially its theaters, ballet, and music—is particularly captivating. Venues such as the Mariinsky or Mikhailovsky Theatre stand for the highest artistic quality. Beyond the classic highlights, she also knows alternative spots that are especially inspiring for models and creatives seeking new ideas.

When it comes to modeling, the positive aspects clearly outweigh the negatives for her. Working with photographers feels like a creative play with the camera, and the backstage atmosphere at shows or campaigns is often familiar and full of energy. She particularly values productions where several models travel and work together—such as international campaigns that move through cities like Berlin, Milan, London, and Paris. She has had few negative experiences personally but knows that the fashion industry can sometimes be harsh when models are excluded from shows without explanation. Here, she also sees a responsibility for model agencies to act fairly and respectfully.

Working with photographers from around the world is part of her everyday life. Although she does not have a single favorite photographer, she dreams of working for major fashion houses such as Dolce & Gabbana, Chanel, or Dior. These brands stand for timeless aesthetics and powerful imagery. In advertising as well, she is drawn to labels whose style radiates elegance and clarity—qualities that represent a long-term goal for many models.

Paris is now the center of her life and, for her, far more than just a fashion capital. The city’s energy, the honesty of its people, and the ever-present love for detail make it unique. For a model working with international model agencies, Paris offers countless creative opportunities. Every day brings new encounters and ideas, and it is precisely this dynamic that makes the city her perfect home in the world of modeling.
