David Sanz is a Spanish model who was born in Castilla La-Mancha, Spain, on 22 April 1986. A couple of years ago, his friend, who wanted to be a model, uploaded a picture of their group on Facebook and a photographer saw him, asking David if he was interested in a photo test. Though he didn’t know what it was, he traveled from Madrid to Barcelona for it. When he reached there, he not only did a photo test but also shot an editorial for a new designer from Ben. Later his agent found these pictures and signed him.
He has contracts with plenty of modeling agencies. He has worked with numerous photographers and fashion brands. He did a TV commercial for Maybelline along with Emily DiDonato. He was even featured in the Christmas campaign for Swarovski.
David has worked for John Varvatos. His first big campaign was for Isaia Napoli. He did commercials for Lancia and Peroni. He also did campaigns for Kohl’s, Falabella, and Inditex.
As far as his hobbies are concerned, he loves acting. This is the reason why he auditioned for a drama school in New York. The first time, he was rejected because of his English. The next time he got in and he has been studying acting in LA, New York, and Spain. For David, acting is fun and he enjoys it a lot.
Apart from this, he loves boxing; he trained for 12 years. Over the years, he did amateur boxing fights. Since his eyesight was weak, he couldn’t clear the medical test without cheating. So, he left the boxing career; it is still his favorite hobby.
Another thing he loves about his modeling career is traveling. He gets to explore different cities and interesting places. It gives him an opportunity to move from one place to another and get to know about different cultures. Despite traveling a lot, he didn’t get a chance to go to Zurich or Switzerland.
Moreover, he likes meeting new people and crew at the set. For David Sanz, it is fun to be around creative people like photographers, stylists, hair stylists, and other models.
There was a time when he couldn’t study because of the modeling profession. Now, he has started studying again after he quit many years ago. All this is possible because of the internet. Currently, he is studying International Relations. He was studying Architecture, but he quit, and he was glad.
David’s family and friends are supportive, but there are some distant friends and relatives who don’t understand what he is doing. However, he really doesn’t care.
David Sanz doesn’t have any heroes or idols, but he likes the values of people including Sergio Maravilla Martinez, Pacquiao, Jose Mujica, Jim Carrey, Martin Luther King, Javier Bardem, Claressa Shields, and his grandfather. David wants to grow as a person and model. He doesn’t want to get stuck in one place. With his efforts, he has established himself in the industry.
