Moreno Faccincani: When I make something, it must be the best"
Exclusive Interview: How Creativity and Quality Drive Fashion — Insights from Moreno Faccincani on Design, Vision & Quiet Luxury

In this extended interview-style feature, we sat down with Moreno Faccincani, the visionary founder behind luxury outerwear brand MooRER, to explore his design philosophy, his journey in fashion, and how excellence and timeless aesthetics guide his work. Known across the fashion world for impeccable quality and innovative craftsmanship, Faccincani also shares thoughts on the fashion industry, modeling culture, and what it takes to stand out in a competitive landscape like that of top model agencies.

Interviewer: Moreno, thanks for joining us today! Let’s start with your core philosophy. You’ve said, “When I make something, it must be the best.” Can you expand on that?

Moreno Faccincani: Absolutely. From day one, I’ve believed that whether it’s a garment or a concept, it should embody excellence. We work with extraordinary materials — baby cashmere, vicuña, even rare Caribbean cotton — because the foundation of quality is in the fibres themselves. That commitment drives every decision we make in design and production.

Interviewer: MooRER is recognized internationally — even by top models and influencers — for this quality. How does this reflect the brand’s identity in modeling and fashion circles?

Moreno: What’s fascinating is seeing how our pieces resonate with people beyond runway models or fashion insiders — from lifestyle editors to clients influenced by leading model agencies. The moment someone puts on a piece and feels its craftsmanship, they recognize the quiet luxury it represents. It’s subtle but unmistakable.

Interviewer: Your path to fashion began early, but at what point did you realize your creative process had a unique voice?

Moreno: I grew up helping my parents with their small clothing company. By the time I launched MooRER in Verona in 2006, I already had this idea of merging timeless design with functionality. I think that intersection — where elegance meets purpose — is what makes our work distinct. It’s the same principle models look for in fashion: authenticity and something that feels real, not contrived.

Interviewer: With so much competition and so many model agencies presenting new trends, how do you stay true to your vision?

Moreno: The industry is always evolving, and of course, trends cascade through fashion shows and portfolios at agencies. But MooRER isn’t trend-driven. It’s timeless. Pieces we made ten or fifteen years ago still feel contemporary today. That’s a different kind of relevance — one rooted in longevity, craftsmanship, and respect for materials.

Interviewer: Tell us about your approach to innovation — like with your Denim Couture chapter.

Moreno: Denim Couture was a project born from respect for technique. We partnered with experts in authentic denim processing and married that with our Italian production. It wasn’t easy — every cut, stitch and texture was rethought — but models, creatives, and clients responded so well. It became a unique dialogue between utility and high fashion.

Interviewer: Speaking of models, do you think the growing interest in authentic pieces is linked to how fashion is represented today — through real people, not just catwalks?

Moreno: Definitely. The modern modeling world celebrates individuality and diverse expressions of style. People connected with MooRER because they see authenticity — something that doesn’t feel staged or superficial. It’s less about fitting a mold and more about resonating with quality and purpose.

Interviewer: Before we wrap up, any hints about what’s next for MooRER?

Moreno: We’re intensifying our Excellence line, using rare materials and expanding our palette for future collections. Our summer launch with luxurious Caribbean cotton, with vibrant colors inspired by island life, is just the beginning. This evolution is about depth, richness, and unwavering commitment to quality.

Final Thought: Moreno’s journey underscores that in a world full of trends, true craftsmanship — much like an enduring career in modeling — stands the test of time. His work is a reminder that fashion is not just about what’s new, but what feels meaningful, crafted with intention, and carries a legacy of excellence.
