Interviewer: Nadine, thank you so much for chatting with us today! To start, can you tell our readers a bit about who you are and how you began your journey in the fashion world?
Nadine: Absolutely! I’m Nadine Leopold, originally from Wolfsberg in Austria, and I’ve been a professional model for over a decade now — actually starting when I was just 14 years old. I was discovered at a young age, which really set the tone for my modeling career from the very beginning.
Interviewer: That’s amazing—starting so young must have brought both excitement and challenges. What have these years of modeling taught you?
Nadine: Being in the modeling industry for such a long time has taught me so much about resilience and creativity. Early on, I learned that modeling isn’t just about showing up — you have to continually reinvent yourself and stay inspired. Modeling has taken me across the globe, walking in runway shows and shooting with some incredible teams. I’ve learned that every day brings a new lesson.
Interviewer: Tell us what life is like for you right now — where are you based and how are you spending your time?
Nadine: Currently, I’m in London with my boyfriend and our two dogs. During quieter moments — especially when travel slows down — I’ve been focusing on my podcast, I Choose Me. It’s been a wonderful creative outlet that lets me connect with people on a deeper level beyond the photoshoots and runway work.
Interviewer: That sounds like a great way to stay grounded and creative. Have you found new ways to express your modeling art during this time?
Nadine: Definitely. I’ve been experimenting with isolation photoshoots at home — I even bought a circular lamp to play with lighting and work on creative concepts. The modeling world is always evolving, and I try to evolve with it, even when I’m off the runway.
Interviewer: Speaking of evolving, what’s one thing you’re most looking forward to post-quarantine?
Nadine: I’d love to visit Italy soon — I adore the culture, the food, and the energy there. I’m also eager to get back to working on international projects with model agencies and creative teams that inspire me.
Interviewer: Let’s talk about life lessons — do you have any books or films that’ve influenced you personally?
Nadine: I’d recommend The Monk Who Sold His Ferrari, How to Win Friends and Influence People, and Zero to One. Films that I love include When Harry Met Sally, The Gentlemen, and The Lord of the Rings. They all bring something unique to how I see growth and storytelling — both important in life and in modeling.
Interviewer: That’s a beautifully holistic mix — it shows how modeling connects with life beyond beauty and style. Before we wrap up, what advice would you give young aspiring models and those considering signing with a model agency?
Nadine: The biggest thing I would say is this: your journey as a model is personal and unique. Whether you work with a local model agency or an international one, always stay true to who you are. Be open to learning, keep your creativity alive, and treat every challenge as a chance to grow. The world of modeling can seem glamorous, but it takes dedication, persistence, and heart to build a lasting career.
Interviewer: Thank you, Nadine — this has been such an inspiring conversation. We can’t wait to see what’s next in your modeling journey!
