Shaderska Valdez is a model from the Dominican Republic. She kicked off her career in modeling when she first walked for Lakme Fashion Week in 2017. The model is happy to be living in India as it is her first international stay.The model loves the diversity of cultures in the Subcontinent and feels that it offers a mini-version of every country. Shaderska does not feel safe in India and especially in Mumbai. She experienced modeling in 2012 when she got to walk for 10 designers in her country of origin. At first when she heard about the opportunity, Shaderska Valdez could not believe it and she thought that it was just a dream. But at last, she felt proud of herself for being selected. Lakme Fashion Week offered Shaderska Valdez a big break. Until now only two models had been selected to walk for the show. It is due to this experience that Shaderska Valdez got to work in India and experience an entirely different culture. She has found working in India to be very different from other countries. Shaderska finds everyone to be very professional.The scale of fashion shows is what surprised Shaderska Valdez the most. She finds the colors and beauty to be captivating. Anita Dongre is Shaderska’s favorite Indian designed. Her collection amazes Shaderska and it was the one to close the Lakme Fashion Week. Shaderska Valdez also liked Monisha Jaising and the opening show on the cruise. She found it to be fun. Mumbai inspires her every day and she continues to find the city to be an interesting place. However, the noise and pollution are what she dislikes about the city. Working in Mumbai has been a challenge for Shaderska as it can be difficult to reach a venue on time due to the traffic and the sheer size of the city. During fashion weeks, Shaderska Valdez only sleeps about 4 to 5 hours a day. However, she cannot afford to look tired. Despite the challenges of being a model, Shaderska loves her job. She likes to carry fruits such as oranges to keep hunger at bay. Moreover, Shaderska drinks plenty of water throughout the day. A normal routine of face wash every day is followed by Shaderska Valdez. She does not care about the products that makeup artists use on her during shows. Shaderska Valdez is making a name of her own in India and aspires to continue working abroad as an international model.
