15 brands confirmed for the June event
It seems like there's always a fashion week happening somewhere in the world, but in recent years Sweden has been off the radar. Now, after a three-year hiatus and a significant rethink, Stockholm Fashion Week is back on stage. Fifteen brands, revealed exclusively here, will participate in the event scheduled for June 2-5.
This is not simply a comeback for the former protagonists of the “Swedish miracle” that gave us gems such as Acne Studios, Filippa K, and Nudie Jeans in the 1990s and 2000s. Of the 15 labels announced, almost half have never participated in STHLMFW (as it is now known); four were founded in the 2010s and the rest have been active for two to five years. As John-Jamal Gille, director of the ASFB (Association of Swedish Fashion Brands), notes, the list represents “the Swedish fashion subculture that has been gaining momentum beneath the surface, waiting to have its own space and time again.”
June is an ideal time to visit Stockholm, with its long days and sunlight caressing the archipelago. However, it is also something of a no-man's-land in the fashion calendar, falling between graduate shows and Pitti Uomo, which takes place later in the month. This unusual choice of date, desired by ASFB members, will perhaps allow this edition to take the form of an informal gathering. As Gille explained, visitors will see “a mix of seasons and capsule collections” rather than a complete presentation of the Spring 2026 collection. The idea is to create a format “that responds to the current needs of brands, but at the same time allows for a system where being off the official calendar does not mean being out of the loop... The goal is to rebalance the spotlight, without excluding anyone, but making room for those who have not yet had it.”
